Akos Banlaky

Viennese composer Akos Banlaky (born in Budapest in 1996), received his training in composition from Professor Kurt Schwertsik at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna from 1991 to 1998.

In 1996, he founded the independent music association “-tonWerk- Forum for New Music”, through which he has organized numerous concerts, including the series “Music and Nature” at the Natural History Museum, as well as the current “Viennese Chamber Music” series.

Since many years, Akos has embarked on extensive travels around the world, particularly to African and Asian countries, spending months completely alone,  immersed in forests and living in harmony with nature. It is from these experiences that his compositions emerge, paying homage to the diverse landscapes and wildlife encountered during his travels,  aimed at inspiring people to preserve the natural world.
